Learning Disability Wales provides a range of Training, Seminars, Conferences and Consultation Events to help change attitudes, improve practice and improving lives.
Training Courses
We provide training courses on our public training programme covering a variety of topics relevant to those in the public, voluntary and private sectors, those with learning disabilities as well as parents and carers.
We use trainers and speakers that have both expertise and also real experience in their relevant fields. This enables those that access our training to have the opportunity to gain both inspiration and also real life working tools to make the changes needed to their day to day working lives and practice. In addition to our core training programme we offer a bespoke service for tailor made in-house training for organisations and projects throughout Wales. For more information about inhouse training please contact us.
Conferences & Seminars
Learning Disability Wales also offers a series of seminars and conferences throughout the year.
Our Annual Conference held each November addresses a different theme each year, drawing together informative and inclusive workshops and presentations from across the country.
Other confernces and seminars are held to focus on other specific topics during the year, addressing current issues, good practice and forthcoming issues. Through our programme of other events we aim to help stimulate debate, increase skills and knowledge and help people from across Wales make new connections with others working in the field.
Consultation Events
As new regulations or laws are being planned Learning Disability Wales will host consultation events to help inform our own, and others' responses to the consultation process.
