PASSING Workshop, Widness, 16 - 19 November 2010
This workshop offers a systematic approach to evaluating services and developing individualised approaches to support. Are you interested in the personalisation agenda and keen to know how to help people move from having a set of services to living a real life? Then come to this four-day developmental workshop that teaches you how to plan and evaluate service options and their outcomes.
The course uses the recently (2007) updated PASSING instrument, developed at the Training Institute, Syracuse University, USA, and involves:
- Some presentations but mainly team working in small teams
- Visiting a real service and carrying out a practice evaluation
- Using all the workshop experience to reflect on: The root causes of social exclusion; The impact of services on the lives of people who use them; Ways to develop new person centred services and support
The course will be led by Dr David Race, international author and teacher on Social Role Valorization and values based services.
